Sit Fit Classes are held at the WCFRC and in Kilkee Community College weekly. Activities are designed around the key components of fitness for older people: aerobic fitness, range of movement, balance and coordination, and strength. Even from a chair it is possible to improve each of these aspects of physical well being – and to have a lot of fun at the same time. Keep yourself acitive , activity is beneficial to your physical and mental health. Whilst the activities are chair based, there may be some exercises involving getting up and down and moving between chairs depending on the mobility of the individual and the group.
