Over 55’s

The West Clare Family Resource Centre Over 55’s Project runs a wide range of physical, social and lifelong learning activities for people over the age of 55. These activities allow our participants to make new friends, share positive experiences and improve their physical and mental health while having fun!

Lifelong Learning
There are many benefits of lifelong learning for people such as, a reduced risk of memory loss, improved self-esteem, social connection, practical life skills, and of course enjoyment! Join our various arts & crafts classes to keep your mind active by discovering new interests and developing new skills.

Getting More Active More Often!
Staying healthy can take a bit of effort and what better way to stay fit than with other people in a fun and lively group. By joining our Go for Life and Sit Fit groups, participants take part in fun exercise programmes that gently move the body and lifts the spirit.

Minding our minds
Enhancing your wellbeing isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it! We aim to run meditation classes, relaxation classes and wellbeing classes.

Outings and events
